Routine Care of Your Corian® CountertopThere are several types of Corian® countertop finishes available: Matte or satin, semi-gloss and high-gloss. Most homeowners prefer countertops finished with the matte/satin finish. All of Duponts Corian® sloid surface sinks have a matte/satin finish. (Contact Solid Top Repair if you are unsure on the type of finish on your countertops.)Since Corian® is a none porous solid surface you may easily clean your countertop with Soapy water, ammonia based cleaners (not window cleaners as they can leave a waxy build up that may dull the surface) or commercially available solid surface cleaners. Lightly wiping will remove most dirt and residue from all types of finishes. Stubborn buildup will require a little stronger cleaner.

You may fallow the recommendations below to properly clean your solid surface countertops and sinks.

Our studies have shown that a light film can build up on the surface if water is left out to dry on the countertops. This film will severely dull the shine of your countertops making the finish appear worn and old. In order to prevent the build up film, it is highly recommended to wipe the countertops completely dry after any spill or cleaning.
Due to the avialble colors of Corian®, some countertops may require frequent cleaning to maintain a fresh look. The darker colored countertops tend to require more cleaning than our lighter colored options. Over the lifetime of your countertops they will naturally develop a patina, changing the appearance of the finish. You may contact Solid Top Repair to restore the look of the original finish and bring life back to your kitchen countertops.
